Lady Gaga's New Video for 'Marry the Night'

Lady Gaga‘s latest video takes a journey back to what she calls one of the worst days of her life.
The singer premiered her 13-minute video for “Marry the Night” Thursday night as part of an E! special, saying the clip reflects the emotions she felt when
she was dropped from her first record label, Island Def Jam. She told E!, “It is my personal way of seeing things.”
While the choreography leans toward what we've come to expect — brisk movement but nothing exact or exciting on, say, a Beyoncé level — she more than makes up for in narrative.
Gaga says the video was inspired by one of the worst days of her life.Gaga also performed the song and a duet of “Yoü And I” with Jennifer Nettles during a ceremony that announced nominations for the the 54th annual Grammy Awards. Gaga’s Born This Way was nominated for album of the year, the entertainer’s third consecutive nomination in a row, which makes her the first artist since the Beatles to achieve the milestone.
A tearful Gaga eventually tells her nurse before she's discharged from the hospital: "I'm gonna be a star. You know why? Because I have nothing left to lose."

But the next sequence depicts a topless Gaga having a breakdown in her apartment. As the video ends, Lady Gaga is seen heading to a meeting at Interscope Records.
